Football is such a major part of Newman life that kids as young as 5 play on a Friday afternoon. Newman also has a colts league which is for kids 16 and under. Veterans also take to the field occasoinally and recently even a Powder Puff derby for the ladies of the town.
Capricorn Oval is the location for these grand football matches.
